Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this post will be responsible for Developing and delivering teaching programmes for the Health Emergency Management Unit.   

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop annual training programme
  • Develop Training Standard Operating Procedures for Training
  • Oversees training programmes that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
  • Determines training needs and requirements for health sector and other stakeholders.
  • Modifies or creates course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
  • Presents in-person and online training sessions.
  • Schedules training sessions, organizes information technology and other equipment, and manages course enrolment
  • Monitors training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and makes updates as necessary
  • Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading journals, attending meetings and relevant courses.
  • Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills and a passion for continuing learning and development
  • Adheres to all Public Service codes, rules and regulations
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or related field.
  • Experience in developing training programmes

EXPERIENCES:

  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and teach
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory purposes
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Candidates must be able to work independently.
  • Skilled at handling multiple task
  • Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

SALARY: Grade 7.1 - $42,853.20 per annum
