Unlawfal Entry - 30 August 2021

In the early hours of 30th August 2021, RTCIPF responded to a report by the Coastal Radar Station that it was tracking a vessel leaving the southern coast of Providenciales. A white vessel was found stopped in the water due to engine problems, with three Jamaican nationals aboard, pictured below. A large quantity of cash was found aboard the vessel, along with a motorcycle and other personal items. The RTCIPF Financial Crimes Unit, assisted by the Immigration Enforcement Unit, conducted interviews with the three men. They were further detained at the Detention Center.

The RTCIPF forfeited the cash found, while the Enforcement Unit successfully charged the individuals for unlawful entry. The Customs Department is expected to bring charges against Mr. Whittick for Failure to Report an Arrival and Failure to Report a Departure.
