Deputy Governor’s Civil Service Week 2019 Message

Deputy Governor’s Civil Service Week 2019 Message

I take this opportunity to wish all civil servants throughout the length and breadth of the Turks and Caicos Islands a Happy Civil Service Week!

Civil Service Week was launched to not only show appreciation to our staff for the work that they do, but to also highlight the invaluable contributions that they make to everyday life in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The civil service is the engine of the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and has a wide range of responsibilities.

They are responsible for: Our infrastructure; The education of our children; The protection of our borders and streets; The collection of our revenues to ensure that our bills are paid and that the country is ran efficiently and effectively; and the healthcare and welfare of our nation.

There is no greater duty than to serve and no job or position is greater than the other, because we are all a part of a team.  A team that is responsible for delivering on the mandate of the Government to serve the will of the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

So today and everyday civil servants, I encourage you to be the best that you can be and to serve with pride, dedication and integrity.

We thank you for your hard work and dedication which does not go unrecognized and this week and every week thereafter we celebrate you, as we continue to “Change Our Communities One Professional At A Time!”
