Department of Culture Talk & Teach Summer Community Workshops

The Department of Culture invites the public to register for its ‘Talk and Teach’ Community Summer Workshops.

Each year the department strives to improve its offerings by providing the best possible programmes to help promote our culture. This year our three-hour morning and afternoon workshops will be held COUNTRY WIDE.

This highly anticipated event has LIMITED space available so we encourage persons to register for sessions by July 20, 2018. Sessions include the following areas:

* Conch Art

* Rip Saw

* Massin’

* Straw Plaiting

* Mourning Dove Trap Making

* TCI Fishing Experience

* Costume Making

* Cooking on Coal Stoves

* Scrap Rug Making

* Sewing Quilts 

Morning sessions commence at 9:00am until 12:00pm for ages 5yrs - 16yrs. Afternoon sessions will be held from 5:00pm- 8:00pm for ages 17yrs and up.
