RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE TCI PETROLEUM FUELS SECTOR

 

As part of the consultation process, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Planning invites feedback and comments from all stakeholders and the general public on the Risk Assessment being undertaken on the Turks and Caicos Islands Petroleum Fuels Sector.

 

The objectives of the Risk Assessment are to:

  1. Review existing management systems and internal compliance programs within the Petroleum sector and assess whether the sector stakeholders are adequately managing their obligations to safeguard the environment, health and promote safety.
  2. Assess and evaluate the adequacy of the legislative and administrative framework put in place by the TCI Government to oversee industrial activities that manage the environment, safety and health.

iii.                 Draft and or amend legislation, rules and regulations to improve regulatory oversight and compliance.

 

Two Draft Petroleum Fuels Sector Risk Assessment Reports are available for review:

  1. The Government Review & Assessment Report, and,
  2. The Industry Review and Assessment Report
