Occupational Health and Safety Training for Electricians

The Electricity Board, Energy & Utilities Department (EUD), and the Department of Planning (DoP) in cooperation with FortisTCI will be conducting a capacity building exercise on Occupational Health and Safety for electrician. The training will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Fortis training room in Providenciales. The venue for the Grand Turk session will be announced later.

The objectives of the training are:

  • To maintain the physical, mental, and social well-being of electricians.
  • To prevent the unfavourable effects on health caused by working conditions
  • To become familiar to occupational environment of physical and mental needs of electricians.
  • To consider the issues relating to industrial safety, occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, training & education, psychology and so on

The training will be conducted in two separate sessions:

  • one in Providenciales (February 26, 2022, Saturday) and
  • one in Grand Turk (March 12, 2022, Saturday)

Snacks and lunch will be provided to registered participants and resource persons

Should there be a need/demand for a third session, the Fortis TCI indicated that they are willing hold it.

Due to Covid Protocols there will be limited number of in-person participants.

Notice of Public Consultation “The Real Estate (Brokers & Salesmen) Licensing Ordinance, 2004”

The Ministry of Finance, Investment & Trade hereby recirculates the Real Estate (Brokers & Salesmen) Licensing Ordinance 2004 (hereinafter the Ordinance).  

It should be noted that this Ordinance came into force on 26th October, 2004. The purpose of the Ordinance is to regulate and make provision for the licensing of Real Estate Brokers and Salesmen within the Turks & Caicos Islands.  

The Ministry of Finance will be hosting virtual Consultations which will be open to the public at 6.00 pm daily from January 30- February 2, 2024 to raise awareness on the legal criteria for becoming a real estate broker/agent and the sanctions and penalties for non-compliance.
