The Turks & Caicos Islands National Insurance Board (TCI NIB) is the statutory institution established under the National Insurance Ordinance No. 10 of 1991, which took effect on April 6, 1992.

Work

• Social Insurance Coverage: provides a range of benefits, including old age pensions, invalidity pensions, survivors’ benefits, sickness benefits, maternity grants, death and funeral grants, and temporary unemployment assistance.
• Eligibility and Contributions: coverage applies to persons gainfully employed in the Turks & Caicos Islands between the ages of 16 and 65.
• Financial Oversight and Sustainability: The Board carefully manages the National Insurance Fund through regular actuarial reviews to safeguard its long-term viability. The most recent reviews confirm that the Fund remains financially sound, with reserves currently estimated in the hundreds of millions of US dollars
• Modernization and Responsiveness: committed to improving customer service, enhancing technological capacity, and adapting our benefit offerings in response to evolving social and economic needs.

The Head Office is located in Grand Turk, with branch offices in Providenciales, North Caicos, and South Caicos to ensure accessibility across the islands.
