The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) within the Ministry of Finance, Investment & Trade wishes to advise the business community and the general public, that business licenses for the financial year (FY) 2024/2025 will expire on 31st March, 2025.
The Department will only be facilitating manual applications for renewals due to technical challenges with the online E-services platform
To assist with expediting the renewal process, Customers are advised to take note of the following:
- Business License renewals will commence February 24th
- Registered companies are required to submit copies of their registers of members/shareholders and demonstration of good standing with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) with their application for renewal.
- Sole traders and partnerships must present a valid Business Name Registration Certificate from the FSC along with their application for renewal.
- Application and payment for renewals MUST be made on or before April 30th, 2025 to avoid penalties.
Please note that significant changes have been made to the list of clearances required for renewal as only Hotels and other short-term rental providers are required to provide Accommodation Licensing along with their FSC Registration to complete the renewal process. Additionally, Tourism Service Providers must also obtain and present a Tourism license from the Tourism Regulation Authority.
In light of the above, short term accommodation providers are reminded to seek inspection ahead of the renewal deadline. Applications will not be accepted until all relevant information is received. The IRD reserves the right to request further documentation and conduct inspections.
For more information, please visit the IRD’s website or our offices in Grand Turk, Providenciales, or the District Commissioner’s Offices in the family Islands.
