TCI REGIMENT’S CAPTAIN FRANCIS GLINTON AND CAPTAIN ADRIAN PARKER RETURN HOME

Captain Francis Glinton and Captain Adrian Parker of the Turks and Caicos Islands Regiment, returned home yesterday from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK, after completing their Commissioning Training. They were greeted at the Providenciales International Airport by the Governor, His Excellency Nigel Dakin, Premier, Hon. Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson, Hon. Karen Malcolm, Minister of Education, Youth, Culture, Libraries and Social Services, Lt. Colonel Ennis Grant, Commanding Officer of the TCI Regiment and their families and friends.

The Officers were welcomed with lots of cheers, emotions, warmth and tremendous sense of national pride from those gathered to receive them.

Captains Glinton and Parker completed six (6) weeks of Training at the Royal Military Academy covering:

  1. Army Leadership Code
  2. Principles of Law and Armed Conflict
  3. Action Centered Leadership
  4. Army Ethics
  5. Mental Health
  6. Combat Estimates
  7. Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Radiological (CBNR) Agents Detection
  8. Weapon Handling, and a Host of other areas

Captain Glinton and Parker are expected to receive their formal Commission at a Ceremony to be hosted at the St. Monica’s Anglican Church, Providenciales, on Thursday, 10th December, 2020.
