The Department of Education in collaboration with the Agriculture Department has embarked on an initiative that seek to establish farms in all schools in the Turks and Caicos Islands. We are currently engaging fifteen public schools and piloting two private schools. Our aim is to teach sustainability, responsibility and entrepreneurship in schools. Our hope is students will become self-sufficient, self-reliant, and value team and collaborative work with the end goal of developing and promoting the field of Agricultural Science.

Josephine Connolly; Director of Education, Edgar Howell; Director of Agriculture, Wilhelmina Kissoonsingh; Curriculum Officer, Elisann Delancy; Assistant Curriculum Officer, Gemely Lubin; TVET Transformation Manager, Paula Atkinson; Agriculture Extension Officer, Mario Smith and focal points from the different schools.
