A. You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Evidence that you have not accrued 10 years residency followed by a period of illegal residence (passport copies and copies of work permits or other immigration documents), and
4. Medical certificate issued in the last six months.

B. You meet the English Language and Knowledge of the Islands Criteria

C. You are capable of supporting yourself and your dependents

Evidence Required:

1. Rent agreement/letter from landlord, or
2. Evidence of mortgage, and
3. A bank statement/letter showing evidence of funds in account.
4. Job letter from employer/confirmation of self-employment 

D. You have 10 years continuous residence in one or a combination of the following work categories:

1. Work Permit
2. Government stamps (which include HM Forces on duty in the Islands, or nationals of other countries serving the TCI Government).
3. Residence Permit
4. Endorsee as a spouse on a Permanent Residence Certificate

Evidence Required:

1. Copies of work permits and/or residence permits and/or
2. Copies of government stamps in passport pages and original letter from the Human Resource Department confirming period of employment, and/or
3. Search of Record from the Work Permit Board/Employment Services Department confirming work permits had been granted. AND

NOTE:  If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged 0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A. You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Is below the age of twenty-one years on the date of application
4. Has completed his primary and secondary education in the Islands.

B. You entered the islands before the age of 7 and completed Primary and Secondary school in the islands

Note: You do not qualify if you have not completed secondary school . You also do not qualify if there were any breaks in attending school here in the islands (for example if you went overseas for some of those years).

Evidence Required:

1. Copy of passports or other documents that clearly show you entered the islands before the age of seven, and
2. School letters confirming attendance and dates of attendance. AND
3. If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged 0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A. You are of good character

Evidence Required: 

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters

B. You were previously endorsed as a child on your parent’s PRC for not less than five years and intend to make the Turks and Caicos islands your home

Evidence Required: 

1. Copy of Parent’s PRC.
2. School letters to demonstrate residence in the Turk and Caicos Islands.
3. Letter of intent to make the Turks and Caicos Islands his/her home.  

C. You are now  between the age of 18 and 24 years old

Note: You must be 18 or over to qualify.  Your application will be rejected if you are under 18.

Evidence Required:

1. Original birth certificate and passport page showing bio data

Note: If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged  0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A.You are of good character

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Letter of intent.

B. You were previously endorsed as a child on your parent’s Work Permit for not less than 10 years and intend to make the Turks and Caicos islands your home

Evidence Required:

1. Copy of Parent’s Work Permit identifying you as an endorsee for a period of 10 years. AND
2. School letters to demonstrate residence in the Turk and Caicos Islands.
3. Letter of intent.

C. You are 18 years or older

Note: You must be 18 or over to qualify.  Your application will be rejected if you are under 18.

Evidence Required:

1. Original birth certificate and passport page showing bio data

Note: If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged  0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A. You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and

D. You were married to a Islander for at least 5 years, who is now deceased

Note: You must be able to evidence that your spouse has both deceased and was an Islander.  See our guide “Am I a Islander?” for more details of who is/was a Islander. If you divorced before your spouse’s death, you will not qualify.

Evidence Required:

1. Marriage certificate, and
2. Spouse’s birth certificate, and
3. Any other evidence to prove spouse’s Islander status (for example spouse’s parents’ birth certificates or spouse’s Islander certificate), and
4. Spouse’s death certificate.

Note: If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged  0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A. You are of good character

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters.

B. You have 3 years continuous Lawful residence in the Islands

Evidence Required:

1. Work Permit and/or Residence Permits

C. You are the great grandchild of a person who was born in the Islands and had or would have had Islander status at the time of your birth

Evidence Required:

1. Your birth certificate
2. The relevant parent’s birth certificate.
3. The relevant grand parent’s birth certificate
4. The relevant great grand parent’s birth certificate 

Note: If endorsing a child, their immunisation records if they are aged  0-5 years old, school letters for those above 5 years old.

A. You are of good character and in good health

B. Undertaking from the Governor

1. Certificate of Undertaking issued by the Governor

C. You have made one of the following investments

1. Not less than $300,000 in the actual construction, purchase or renovation of a distressed property as a home in the island of Grand Turk, salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos , OR

2. Not less than $1,000,000 in the actual construction, purchase or renovation of a distressed property as a home in the islands other than Grand Turk, salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos

Evidence Required:

1. Certificate of occupancy
2. Property valuation prior to investment.
3. Property valuation upon completion of specified investment

A. You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Medical certificate issued in the last six months.

B. Undertaking from the Governor

1. Certificate of Undertaking issued by the Governor

C. You have made one of the following investments

1. Not less than $750,000 in a business or enterprise in the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos AND the business generates employment in the Islands AND not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders, OR

2. Not less than $1,500,000 in a business or enterprise in the islands other than the island of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, South Caicos, Middle Caicos or North Caicos AND the business generates employment in the Islands AND not less than 60% of the employees are non-work permit holders.

Evidence Required:

1. Business License
2. Proof of ownership of the business
3. Audited Accounts for the Business or an Unaudited Accounts Confirmed by a Certified Public Accountant showing how much was invested in the business.
4. Staff Register list indicating immigration status of each employee

A.You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Medical certificate issued in the last six months.

B. Undertaking from the Governor

1. Certificate of Undertaking issued by the Governor

C. You have made the following investment

1. Not less than $1,000,000 contribution in a designated approved public sector project in the Islands.

Evidence Required:

1. Cabinet Action Minute confirming approval for receipt of contribution in the named project.
2. Treasury payment receipt and/or written confirmation of receipt of contribution from the Permanent Secretary Finance or a public officer designated by him/her.

A. You are of good character

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and

B. You have invested not less than $250,000 in a home or business in the Islands

Evidence Required:

1. If investment is in a home; a property valuation or
2. If investment is in a business; Audited Accounts for the Business or an Unaudited Accounts Confirmed by a Certified Public Accountant showing how much was invested in the business.

C. You have 15 years continuous residence in the Islands

Evidence Required:

1. Letter from any of the following institutions confirming contributions or business transactions/active accounts for a period of 15 years.

D. You have a child who is an Islander and who has had not less than 10 continuous years of residence in the Islands

Evidence Required:

1. Child’s birth certificate identifying the applicant as a parent.
2. Proof of child’s Islander Status
3. Immunisation and/or school letters demonstrating child’s residence in the Islands for a period of 10 years.

A. You are of good character and in good health

Evidence Required:

1. Police Certificate issued in the last six months, and
2. Two character reference letters, and
3. Medical certificate issued in the last six months.

B. You have made the following investment 

1. Not less than $1,000,000 in a business or home in the Islands.

Evidence Required:

If in a home

1. Certificate of occupancy
2. Property valuation prior to investment.
3. Property valuation upon completion of specified investment

If in a business

1. Business License
2. Proof of ownership of the business
3. Audited Accounts for the Business or an Unaudited Accounts Confirmed by a Certified Public Accountant showing how much was invested in the business.

• Two recent passport-sized photos of applicant (one must be certified).
• Birth certificate.
• Passport bio page and one other government issued ID.
• Two character references.
• Valid police record.
• Certificate of good health.
• Knowledge of the islands as evidenced by a certificate of TCI Studies from community college.
• Knowledge of English Language as evidenced by a certificate of English Proficiency from community college or other specified qualifications.
• A letter indicating that the applicant intends to make the Turks and Caicos Island His/her home.
• Letter from NIB.
• Bank letter.
• Letter NHIB.
• Ten work permits issued for 10 consecutive years (with work permit being valid at date of application).
• Evidence to show that you are capable of supporting yourself and dependents in the islands e.g. rent agreement/letter from landlord or evidence of mortgage and a reference letter from bank.
• Copy of recent passport.

• Two recent passport-sized photos of applicant (one must be certified).
• Birth certificate.
• Passport bio page and one other government issued ID.
• Two character references.
• Valid police record.
• Certificate of good health.
• Primary and secondary school Certificate/Diploma.
• Correspondence from institutions confirming attendance.
• That the applicant entered the Islands before the age of seven years.
• Applicant must be below the age of twenty-one years.
• Copy of recent passport.

• Two recent passport-sized photos of applicant (one must be certified).
• Birth certificate.
• Passport bio page and one other government issued ID.
• Two character references.
• Valid police record.
• Certificate of good health.
• Copy of parent’s PRC showing endorsement.
• The applicant has attained the age of eighteen years having been named for not less than five years as a dependent in an endorsement of a PRC.
• Letter of intent.
• At date of application has not attained the age of twenty-five years.
• Copy of recent passport.
• School letters.

• Two recent passport-sized photos of applicant (one must be certified).
• Birth certificate.
• Passport bio page and one other government issued ID.
• Two character references.
• Valid police record.
• Certificate of good health.
• The applicant has attained the age of eighteen years having been named for not less than ten years as a dependent child in an endorsement of a Work Permit.
• Copies of work permits showing endorsement for ten years or more.
• Copy of recent passport.
• School letters.

• Two recent passport-sized photos of applicant (one must be certified).
• Birth certificate.
• Passport bio page and one other government issued ID.
• Two character references.
• Valid police record.
• Certificate of good health.
• Copy of recent passport.
• Marriage Certificate.
• Copy of spouse status card or birth certificate establishing Turks and Caicos Islands status.
• Death certificate for deceased Turks and Caicos Islander Spouse.
• The applicant was married for not less than five years to an islander who has died.
