POST CABINET STATEMENT- 15TH AND 17TH APRIL 2026

Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 13th meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday April 15 and Friday April 17th 2026 at the Premier’s Office, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present with the exception of the Hon. Rhondalee Knowles, with Ms. Khalila Astwood sitting as Acting Attorney General. 

At this meeting Cabinet: 

  • Approved guidelines for a temporary pause on certain categories of tourism related developments in Providenciales. 

  • Approved the Business Linkages Programme concept paper. 

  • Noted a report regarding the continued Operations of the TCI Hospitals. 

  • Approved the restructuring of the Information Technology Department of the TCI National Health Insurance Board. 

  • Approved proposed amendments to salaries of various roles with the TCI National Health Insurance Board.  

  • Noted a paper on the introduction of a new routes between North America and Providenciales. 

  • Approved the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service Learning and Development Policy. 

  • Approved a License for Beach Enhancement and Groyne Improvement, for Cheshire Hall & Richmond Hills, Providenciales. 

  • Approved the re-parcellation of Parcel 60905/204. 

  • Approved Planning Application PR 18756 for the subdivision of a parcel. 

  • Approved Planning Application PR 18522 for construction of a three storey building, Cheshire Hall and Richmond Hills, Providenciales 

  • Noted the paper for a lease for expansion of Resort Facilities North West & North Central Providenciales. 

  • Approved the appointment of Mr. Earnest Forbes as Chairman and Mr Arean Louis as member of the Work Permit Board Zone 2. 

  • Approved the establishment of a National Flag Day in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

  • Approved the implementation plan for the restructuring the Turks and Caicos Destination Management and Marketing Corporate Vehicle. 

  • Approved revisions to the Financial Services Commission’s Budget and Strategic Priority. 

  • Noted a paper on the economic impact of the 2026 Middle East geopolitical conflict and the possible impact for the Turks and Caicos Islands, and considered various mitigation options.
