POST CABINET STATEMENT- 25TH MARCH 2026

Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 10th meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, at the Office of the Premier, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present; with the exception of H.E. Anya Williams-Deputy Governor, and Hon. Zhavargo Jolly-Minister for Tourism, with Mrs. Athenee Basden sitting as Actg. Deputy Governor. 

At this meeting Cabinet: 

Noted the overview of the principal areas of civil litigation affecting the Turks and Caicos Islands Government. 

Noted the update on the Turks and Caicos participation in the upcoming 48th Meeting of the Council of the CARICOM Regional Organizational for Standards and Quality. 

Noted the information paper regarding Revenue Enforcement measures and Compliance Reform for Border Force Account Holders. 

Approved the Court order payment from the Claims Against Government account. 

Approved the policy guidelines for proposed work permit categories. 

Approved the continuation of the Vincula LAC Digital Skills Programme in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

Approved the designation of the Historical and Cultural Division of the Victoria Public Library as a revenue generating entity. 

Approved the provision of a one-time conditional Grant-in-Aid to the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association. 

Noted the award of the following contracts in line with the process according to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act; Contract Award Notification:

II.                 PN 005763, TR 25/21, Bridges, Ponds and Roads - Front Street Bridge

IV.              TCIAA 25/26-036, TR 25/64, Furniture and Equipment for HHIA Control Tower and Fire Hall (Phase II) 

V.                CAA 24/25 80003; CAA 25/26 80003, TR 25/26, Vehicle for TCICAA 

VI.              TCIPA 02/22, TR 25/15, South Caicos Port Infrastructure Development Phase 1 - Port Office Improvement 

VII.           TCIPA 04/22, TR 25/23, Bellefield Landing Master Plan Phase 3 - Construction of Boardwalk, Boat Ramp and RoRo Dock 

Approved the Strategic Acquisition of land located in the South Suburbs Grand Turk. 

Approved Settlement Agreement for former Civil Servant Court Matters. 

Approved the extension of a short term interim financial support in relation to the Contract with InterHealth Canada. 

Approved the Settlement of Entitlement payments Under 2024 Salary Apay Grade and Scale Review 

Approved via round robin the 3rd Supplementary Appropriation for FY 2025/2026-Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP)
