As a result of the global concern in relation to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Turks and Caicos Islands Department of Sports has decided that postponing the Inter Primary School Track and Field Championships would be in the best interest of our young athletes, sport personnel and fans.
While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Turks and Caicos Islands and at present no evidence of transmission in the Turks and Caicos, the Department of Sports believes that taking measures to minimize the risk to our student athletes, sport personnel and fans is paramount.
The Department of Sports will continue to monitor the COVID 19 pandemic through the Ministry of Health, Agriculture, Sports and Human Services and provide relevant updates.
