Project I.D.E.A. Media Club | Summer 2025 Registration Open

The Project I.D.E.A. (I Dream Every Action) has been organised to provide Turks and Caicos Islands' youth with opportunities to build foundations for an early career in media, and inadvertently in sports. This club was responsible for producing the short film Ripple Effect. Classes are held on weekdays, sometimes staggered between weekly and bi-weekly, with opportunities to volunteer at games on weekends putting what was learned into practice.

Aside from developing early careers, we aim to build safer communities for our youth while building human capacity by investing their time into meaningful activities and opportunities to network.

As members of the club, students:

  • Gain extensive experience in their field building on their career prospects,
  • Generate volunteer hours,
  • Experience tailored technical training,
  • Have access to technical equipment/gear,
  • Gain free access to events and a wealth of further career-enriching opportunities.

Members can select and enrol in their desired segment(s), choosing from Filmmaking, Photography, Journalism, Content Creation or any other class on offer. They are taught primarily via projects, gaining empirical content useful in their design portfolios required by universities or prospective employers. 'Ripple Effect' Short Film

Project I.D.E.A. Media Club is set to release a short film about a female sprinter titled Ripple Effect. This film follows the life of Anita Been-Brown who is arduously preparing to compete in the CARIFTA Games while her life at home, paves a dangerous road to destruction. Ripple Effect is not just a story of track and field. It humanizes the experience of athletes while beaming a spotlight on the dangers gun violence dispels in Caribbean communities.

So far the trailer has amassed over 38,000 views on Facebook and Instagram among our islands and is looking to shake things up on the big screen. This short film premiered on Saturday, June 15th, at the fundraiser Inspiring Change: Transforming Lives Through Sports event.
