Gervin Simmons - Assitant Director Surveys
Gervin Simmons has been an employee with the Survey & Mapping Department, (TCIG) Turks & Caicos Islands Government over a career period that spans for over eighteen (18) years. Ten (10) of those years he spent working as the Draftsman in the Survey & Mapping Department. In 2010 he saw the need to improve himself and become more qualified within his field of work deciding to take a three year study leave using the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying & Civil Engineering at the University of East London in the United Kingdom.
On his return to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2013, Gervin was promoted to the post of Assistant Director. He has over four experience as a practicing Government Land Surveyor and has proven to be a reliable, qualified and focus land surveyor who has the required knowledge, skills and experience to carry out his duties in the capacity of Assistant Director of Surveys.
As reliable, qualified and focused land surveyor, with knowledge, skills and experience in the area of surveying and the aspects involved, including the various software and equipment applications and the latest in new survey technology. The areas encompassed: Cadastral, Engineering, Topographic and Hydrographic surveying, mapping and land management.
