The Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) is in receipt of at least two proposals to acquire leasehold titles over CROWN LAND, over which the North Creek traverses and is located – including all that Crown Land immediately adjacent to the creek, comprising of about 333 acres, approximately – as shown and depicted on the MAP, Annex IA, attached, for Commercial related development.
In the spirit of good governance and in keeping with Section 34 of Crown Land Ordinance 2012, we would like to open the tender process for competing tenders to this parcel of Crown Land, or any portion thereof, such as that portion of the parcel shown on the MAP, Annex IB, attached. This process promotes transparency and helps to mitigate against favouritism and corruption; as well as affords the Government the opportunity to get the best value for the land.
The said Area or Parcel of Crown Land is located at North West Suburbs, Grand Turk and is commonly known as ‘North Creek’, which is mainly comprised of an inland body of water that is navigable, and is currently zoned for Commercial and or Tourism related developments. All bids for any proposed development on this Crown Land parcel or any part thereof, must be guided by the Project Proposal Guidelines, attached hereto as Annex II, and also found on the TCIG website - www.gov.tc.

and must be accompanied by the appropriate non-refundable application fee payable (please refer to the schedule of fees (also attached as Annex III)) at any Treasury location within the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Closing Date of Tenders: Tenders must be submitted by 9:00 am on Tuesday April 8, 2014.
Tenders must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the Tender Envelope Label (p6) attached firmly to the front. The envelope must not carry any identification marks indicating the sender as this may result in immediate disqualification.
Tenders will be opened publicly on the same day at 9:00 am at the meeting of the Procurement Board.
