MINISTRY OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCES THE SCHOLARSHIP SECRETARIAT UNIT’S NEWLY CREATED WEBSITE

The Ministry of Education, Labour, Employment and Customer Services is pleased to announce the official launch of the Scholarship Secretariat Unit’s website. This website was designed to make information easily accessible for the general public. Information about the scholarship application process, application forms and other relevant documents, the Ministry’s policies, frequently asked questions on common scholarship practices and contact information of staff at the Secretariat Unit can be found on the website.

It is envisaged that the website will serve as a public service platform for improved communication with students and the wider public. The website will highlight the achievements of former and current students who have earned a Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands Scholarship. It will also serve as a source of motivation for aspiring applicants.

The full implementation of the website will follow a phased approach, and within the upcoming financial year, additional functionalities will be added. The end goal of this progressive initiative is to ensure that this platform will promote continuity of information, access to services provided and ultimately support the Ministry’s thrust towards improving student support services.

The Secretariat Unit has commenced its public awareness campaign to sensitize all stakeholders of the changes to the Scholarship Policy, as well as promoting the newly launched website. One of the key initiatives being the educational sessions facilitated by the experienced staff of the Secretariat Unit targeting students throughout the various high schools and tertiary education institutions within the Turks and Caicos Islands.
