JOB SUMMARY:

The job holder is primarily responsible for assisting with the provision of transportation services and to the Premier and the First Family and the Acting Premier in performing their official duties.

The position requires the incumbent to be a mature, responsible and accountable individual who will be expected to maintain high service standards and be very punctual. The incumbent must be able to pay keen attention to detail and be able to work flexible hours. The candidate must also be physically fit in order to carry out the assigned duties and responsibilities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Transports Hon. Premier in accordance with the Official Transportation Diary
  2. Provides personal security for Hon. Premier and relevant family members in accordance with procedures and protocols
  3. Liaises with the Director/Executive Administrator over the official diary of Hon. Premier to provide efficient transportation services
  4. Transports official visitors, other personnel and materials as instructed
  5. Ensures timely delivery of clients or materials
  6. Assists with preparation and organization of official functions
  7. Loads and unloads materials from the vehicle
  8. Keeps a written record of activities where required
  9. Cleans vehicle inside and outside
  10. Organizes general maintenance of official vehicles as required
  11. Adheres to all Public Service codes, rules and regulations
  12. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

·    A High School Diploma

·    A valid Driver’s License 

Experience

·   A minimum of five (5) years driving experience with a valid driver’s license

·   Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift

·   Experience in driving a wide range of vehicles (cars, trucks, vans)

SALARY: Grade 5 - $27,716.00 per annum
