His Excellency the Governor, Nigel Dakin, chaired the 1st meeting of the new Cabinet on Wednesday 24 February 2021 at the Office of the Premier, Hilly Ewing, Providenciales.

All members were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

Agreed a preferred pattern of work, practices and procedures for Cabinet meetings. Members were also informed of resources available to them to achieve policy objectives.

Noted steps required to ensure government aligns with priority initiatives Members seek to establish, engagement with senior managers in the Civil Service and roles played by Statutory Bodies in support of delivering government work.

Was updated on ongoing work to strengthen delivery of policing, immigration and justice. Members also discussed other priorities for the new government to take forward.

Were updated on policies and procedures around good governance.
