Her Excellency the Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 8th meeting of Cabinet being held in Providenciales on Thursday March 5th, 2026. All members were present with the exception of the Hon. Musgrove/Minister for Physical Planning and Hon. Otis Morris/Minister for Public Safety. 

At this meeting Cabinet 

Approved the Fiscal Strategic Policy Statement (FSPS) 2026-2030. 

Noted the update on the Quarterly Trade Performance for the quarter ended 31 March 2025. 

Approved amendment to Schedule 1, Head 2 of the Stamp Duty Ordinance to replace the existing graduated and island-differentiated rate structure with a uniform rate. 

Approved to introduce a minimum five years interval between approval for the same application to access concessionary relief under the Stamp Duty Reduction Policy operating within the Property Ownership Incentive Program. 

Approved the transfer of seized marine vessels and outboard engines condemned as forfeited under the Customs Ordinance. 

Approved amendments to the Business Licensing Act to address practical and commercial issues. 

Approved the restoration of the Customs Processing Fee (CPF) on non-critical commodities previously included under the breadbasket waiver. 

Noted the round robin approvals for 

Approved amendments to the Turks and Caicos Islands Government Policy Guide to Ceremonial Protocols, Volume 2. 

Approved the extension of the moratorium on the issuance of new business licenses in the contractors category until March 31, 2026. 

Approved for the draft Mortgage Corporation Bill to be progressed to Parliament.
