ADDENDUM NO. 1: TR 20/41, SOUTH DOCK PORT REDEVELOPMENT – PROVIDENCIALES PHASE 1 AND 2; Closing: Wednesday, 10 February 2021 10:00 A.M

Query No. 1:
Regarding the invitation for the referenced project, the scope of works states, “Completion of detail designs and preparation of environmental management plans.” However, the prequal invitation includes “The project would be Plant and Design – Build, a FIDIC 1999 Yellow Book Contract.” Please confirm the contract is for design and construction of the project, and not for design services only.

Response: The project would be a Plant and Design-Build contract in accordance with FIDIC Yellow Book Contract. However, we have already basic designs and an EIA for the reference to detail designs and preparation of environment management plan are part of the owner requirements.

Query No. 2:
Can firms who did not attend the Prequalification meeting apply to prequalify as an Applicant ? If the answer is no, we assume can they apply as a partner of a JVA when member of the JVA applied?

Response: There is no requirement that interested parties had to attend the preapplication meeting. If a party did not attend the preapplication meeting they can still be as main contractor member of a JVA.

Query No. 3:
Is it possible to receive a copy of the key project technical appraisal results listed under Section IV. Scope of Works / Project Information of Invitation for Prequalification:
    - Design basis memo prepared by the project consultant,
    - Project EIA for an earlier project in the project area,
    - Provide existing documentations available: e.g. reports, analyses, investigations, photographs, maps, plans, drawings, designs, specifications and completed works

Response: These documents would be provided to the short listed contractor following pre-qualification.

Query No. 4:
In relation with articles 1 an 3 of section I: Instructions to Applicants (ITA), can you please confirm that associates/affiliates of parent firms can be involved in different applications?

Response: As indicated in Section 3 applicant or partner can only participate in one application only based on a formal letter of intent (section 1). If an associate or affiliate is a sub-contractor they can participate in more than one application.

Query No. 5:
What is cost of the project?

Response: Yes, a project Bills of quantities is prepared with cost information, this would be submitted at part of the bill stage.

Query No. 6:
The pre-qualification documents indicate the project would commence in 2020, is this still the project start date?

Response: Thanks for this observation, it is likely that the project would not start before mid-year 2021.
