Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Monday, 16th March 2026: The Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) is pleased to announce the reopening of nominations for the National Honours and Awards Programme, marking the return of an important national tradition that recognises the outstanding contributions, achievements, and service of individuals across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The programme, administered by the National Honours and Awards Committee, invites members of the public to nominate individuals whose dedication and accomplishments have significantly contributed to national development, community advancement, and the overall progress of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Nominations will officially open Monday, 16 March 2026, and will remain open for eight weeks, closing on 15 May 2026.
Members of the public are encouraged to carefully review the nomination criteria and ensure that nominees are submitted under the appropriate award category. The Committee will only consider nominees in the category under which they are submitted.
The National Honours and Awards recognise excellence across several categories, including:

Statement from the Premier
Premier Hon. Charles Washington Misick welcomed the reinstatement of the programme, noting its importance in recognising the people who shape the nation.
“The National Honours and Awards Programme allows us to celebrate the extraordinary individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service have helped build the Turks and Caicos Islands. I encourage members of the public to take part in this process by nominating those who have made meaningful contributions to our communities and our country.”
Honouring Service and National Pride
The National Honours and Awards Programme reflects the Government’s commitment to recognising excellence, service, and leadership throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Following the nomination process and evaluation by the National Honours and Awards Committee, award recipients will be recognised at a National Honours and Awards Ceremony scheduled to take place in Grand Turk in October 2026.
The public is reminded that all nominations must be submitted no later than 15 May 2026.
