Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, 23 January 2026 — In less than 7 days, students from across our islands will face off to see who will become the next Junior Minister of Tourism.
The organizing committee of the Tourism Youth Congress and Career Expo 2026 invites the general public and tourism stakeholders to rally behind our most valuable asset—our youth—at this pivotal event on Thursday, 29th January 2026, at the Graceway Sports Centre, Providenciales. This is more than an event; it is a direct investment in the vision and representation of our next generation.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m., the Tourism Youth Congress will convene, during which a representative from the youth franchise will be selected to represent the nation on tourism-related youth matters. Students will present their innovative and persuasive ideas for the sustainable future of our tourism sector.
The Congress winner will be appointed the Junior Minister of Tourism, a significant ambassadorial role that empowers a young leader to represent the official youth perspective of the Turks and Caicos Islands at the 2026 Caribbean Tourism Organisation's (CTO's) Youth Congress.
Immediately following the Congress, the afternoon transforms into an interactive Career Expo, creating a vital bridge between ambition and opportunity. Students and young person’s seeking advancement will connect directly with leaders from every facet of our leading industry—from world-class hotels and marine operations to aviation, culinary arts, environmental stewardship and cultural heritage. Honourable Zhavargo Jolly, Minister of Tourism stated, "Youth empowerment is the cornerstone of true national progress. This event will showcase the vision of the youth for national development through tourism while allowing many of the youth to connect and network with industry professionals.
