AT 5:00AM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM NADINE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 12.1°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 31.1° WEST OR ABOUT 485 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERNMOST CABO VERDE ISLANDS.

 

NADINE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 7 MPH (11 KM/H), AND A NORTHWEST TO NORTH-NORTHWEST MOTION IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. A TURN TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST IS FORECAST TO OCCUR ON FRIDAY.

 

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 50 MPH (85 KM/H) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME ADDITIONAL STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST THROUGH TONIGHT, WITH WEAKENING ANTICIPATED TO BEGIN ON THURSDAY.
