Tatum Clerveaux
Tatum Clerveaux was appointed Commissioner of Lands in April 2012, elevating from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Lands, which she held for four years. As Commissioner of Lands, Mrs. Clerveaux has responsibility for the overall strategic direction and interdepartmental coordination of the various departments that deals with surveys and mapping, land registration, valuations and the management of Crown lands.
Mrs. Clerveaux brings over 15 years’ of experience in land and natural resource management and expertise in land law, governance, land use planning and sustainable development, and the use of the Geographic Information System (G.I.S) as a developmental . Prior to Mrs. Clerveaux’s appointment as Commissioner of Lands and her tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Lands, she worked as the Assistant Commissioner of Lands where she understudied the former Commissioner of Lands. Mrs. Clerveaux also served as Scientific Officer with the Department of Environment and Coastal Resources and advised on numerous policies in the areas of natural resources management, environmental quality and growth and development of the TCI.
Mrs. Clerveaux holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystem Management, both from the University of the West Indies. Mrs. Clerveaux also has a background in estate management, having received post graduate diploma training in Land Registry Law and Practices from the College of Law, U.K.
