Desiree Downes
Desiree Downes is the Principal Legislative Drafter in the Attorney General’s Chambers, where she bears responsibility for the work of the Legislative Drafting Division. Ms. Downes began her legal career in the Attorney General’s Chambers, Guyana as State Counsel. She also served for a brief period in the Attorney General’s Chambers, Bahamas as Senior Legislative Drafter.
Ms. Downes holds a Degree in Public Management obtained in 1994 from the University of Guyana, Guyana; a Bachelor of Laws Degree obtained in 1997 from the University of Guyana, Guyana; a Legal Education Certificate obtained in 1999 from the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago.
